What Are Some Hip Website Marketing Ideas?

Posted on September 12, 2022 by jonny Posted in Marketing, Small Business .

People consider many different types of marketing ideas when building their online businesses. The landscape changes on a regular basis, due to algorithm updates, new platforms, and new ideas. One digital marketer, Dennis Consorte, believes that you need to stay on top of trends in order to stay relevant.

As a starting point, spend some time refreshing your knowledge of various social media platforms. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube are among the most popular platforms today. However, don’t ignore platforms like TikTok, which are continuing to capture market share from other competitors. Additionally, don’t dismiss niche platforms. For example, Locals.com, Bitchute, and others attract very niche audiences.

As you analyze these platforms, compare their audiences to your own. If you believe that your audience hangs out on these platforms, then dig deeper to find the content that they like, share and engage. Then, put together a plan and execute on it.

The more effort you put into your digital marketing, the more likely you’ll have a hip new strategy to grow your online company.

Tips for Hipsters Who Start Small Businesses

Posted on February 1, 2021 by jonny Posted in Small Business .

If you’re about to start a business in an industry that nobody knows about yet, then you might just be a hipster. That could mean that you will have trouble attracting people to come and work for you, or to buy from you. People are reluctant to try new things, out of fear of change. This can lead to a lot of anxiety for new business owners. So what can you do?

Start by Attracting Young People to Your Business

Let’s start by talking about attracting Millennials to work for you. Lots of old people complain about millennials being lazy and entitled. But the truth is, they just don’t understand them. If you want to get more Millennials on board with your company, then give them a sense of purpose. Show them that the work they do matters. Let them feel like they’ll have an impact, and they’ll flock to your hipster paradise in droves.

Have Enough Capital to Run Your Business

So many businesses fail because the are undercapitalized. So, don’t let that happen to you. Make sure you’ve got the funds to run your business for at least six months. A slow period without money in the bank could spell doom for your company. Don’t let that happen. If you can self-fund, great. If not, then consider taking on an angel investor. They’ll take a chunk of your profits, but you’ll have enough capital to get you through the rough spots.

Stay Ahead of the Curve

If you’re a small business owner, then you need to read, read, and read some more. Make sure you stay on top of industry trends. Learn what people want, what they don’t want, and what they might want. You have to keep working on your business to stay ahead of the competition. Do that, and you might make something of your hipster dream.

Is Kratom the new CBD?

Posted on July 7, 2020 by jonny Posted in Modern Wellness .

Hipsters knew about CBD before most people, but now everybody knows about it and its reported benefits. As such, hipsters are looking for the next best thing. Some people believe that psilocybin (the stuff that’s in magic mushrooms) is the next naturally occurring drug to hit the legal markets. But, what if it’s not? What if instead, kratom, which is already legal in most states, starts to take off?

Why Hipsters Might Choose Kratom

Kratom is relatively mild compared to many alternatives. It’s a tropical tree that grows in Southeast Asia, and it’s part of the coffee family. This evergreen, also known as mitragyna speciosa is native to countries like Thailand and Indonesia, which makes it super-cool. People report effects ranging from stimulation to anxiety relief. In fact, people report that they are able to get off of highly addictive opioids by switching to kratom, as it hits the same receptors in the brain.

Should You Try Kratom?

I’m not going to tell you to follow every trend out there. If you’re happy with your life, and you don’t suffer from opioid addiction or high anxiety, then you probably don’t need to try kratom. That said, it might give you a mild, natural high, so you may want to try kratom. In the end, it’s up to you. Be sure to do your research as it is not meant for unhealthy individuals or non-adults. It could also have dangerous side effects, like any drug (including caffeine and alcohol). If you’re not sure, then maybe start with CBD first, and then go from there.

How Hipsters Invest: Bitcoin is the New Gold, and the Old Cryptocurrency

Posted on May 10, 2020 by jonny Posted in Investments .

Let’s be real: hipsters are not known for following trends. Rather, they are trendsetters. This carries through all areas of their lives, including their investments.

First, There Were Stocks and Bonds

Stocks and bonds have been around since investments were a thing. This doesn’t make them very appealing to cutting-edge people. The exceptions of course would be tech stocks, or crunchy granola, obscure stocks that no one has heard about, or stock in companies that are identifying new trends. For example, amid COVID-19, we may see an explosion in the health and wellness space. Think anti-anxiety, but not CBD which is fully saturated. Rather, think about how people are turning to herbal supplements like kratom, and you might start to understand the sorts of investments that would pique the interests of this demographic.

Then, There Was Gold

People in mainstream society are catching on to gold and other precious metals as a way to preserve wealth. In the middle of a pandemic, this is a wise move, as there is some uncertainty around whether the US dollar will retain its value. But gold is so yesterday…

Bitcoin is Everywhere

Today, everybody knows about bitcoin, and either has some of their own, or knows someone else with cryptographic holdings. For this reason, hipsters are likely turning to other cryptocurrencies. They’ve already learned how to trade bitcoin. Now, they’re exploring other digital assets. The question is, which ones? Start by skipping over the most highly traded coins, and start looking at ICOs and coins lower on the list. Do this, and you might have a sense of where hipsters are putting their money.

Hipsters, Mindfulness and the Cult of Wellness

Posted on April 26, 2020 by jonny Posted in Modern Wellness .

If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, then you might remember M.C. Hammer pants (aka clown pants). These were popular among the bodybuilding community, because they were comfortable and baggy with elastic waist-bands. So, a juiced-up muscle-head with a 27″ waist and tree-trunk quads could wear them comfortably. Muscle mags everywhere were covered in mullets and clown pants—it was great.

The Replacement of Bodybuilding With Healthy Living

Today, most people have graduated from a desire for gargantuan quads (and biceps) to a goal of living a more holistic, wellness lifestyle. Clown pants have been replaced with skinny jeans, and guys sticking each other in the glutes with GHB have been replaced with people like Joe Rogan advocating for healthy testosterone replacement, and topical testosterone deodorant sticks for men with Low T.

The Cult of Wellness

Mindfulness has also grown by leaps and bounds as a lifestyle choice. People used to call that good manners. Times have changed, but some things have stayed the same. Wellness advocates have cult-followings who read virtually every wellness book in print. Certainly this is better than the cults of the 70s, as people have replaced Kool-Aid fueled mass suicides with mindfulness retreats to exotic islands and corporate mushroom trips.

Hipsters and the Growth of the Interwebs

Posted on April 21, 2020 by jonny Posted in Interwebs .

A hipster is one who follows the latest fashion trends, which ironically are outside of the cultural mainstream. One can think of them as early adopters, or trendsetters in the fashion space. Eventually, aspects of their style reach a tipping point and the majority of people adjust their wardrobes to match. By that point in time, a hipster would have already replaced such fashion accessories with items that are less likely to by popular. And so the cycle continues. With this in mind, how have hipsters shaped the growth of the interwebs?

Hipsters, Anxiety and Modern Culture

Posted on April 13, 2020 by jonny Posted in Modern Wellness .

Anxiety is a common problem in modern culture. This is especially true in the urban areas where hipsters reside. Life moves quickly, and people experience sensory overload. Young people graduate college and have no clear career paths, and lots of debt. Is there a cure?
